Columbus, OH, March 26, 2025 – Nationwide has earned the distinction of being one of the top technology leaders in the United States.
Foundry’s CIO, a technology strategy and news outlet, has recognized Nationwide with a 2025 CIO 100 Award.
“This award is a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer centricity, and I'm incredibly proud of our team’s dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences,” said Nationwide Chief Technology Officer Jim Fowler. “We’re grateful for the recognition of our work and look forward to continuing to drive positive change in the industry and business outcomes here at Nationwide.”
For almost 30 years, the CIO 100 Awards have recognized innovative organizations that exemplify the highest level of strategic and operational excellence in IT. The annual US CIO 100 Awards celebrate 100 organizations and the teams within them that use IT in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth, or improving relationships with customers. The award is an acknowledged mark of enterprise excellence.
CIO recognized Nationwide’s Project Pathfinder program, which focused on using technology to create and deploy new capabilities that improve the customer experience. In one instance, implementation of the program dramatically improved the experience for Nationwide’s public sector retirement solutions customers, simplifying the enrollment experience by removing complex barriers to entry while making the process more intuitive.
“The CIO 100 Awards recognize IT leaders who drive innovation, transformation, and business success through technology,” said Elizabeth Cutler, Content Director, CIO 100 Symposium & Awards. “With an exceptionally high caliber of submissions each year, winning a CIO 100 Award is a true honor, highlighting the bold vision, strategic excellence, and groundbreaking impact of the most influential CIOs shaping the future of digital enterprise.”
Nationwide was also named to the CIO 100 in 2003. More information about the CIO 100 Awards can be found here.
